Sorry, CCP, but the data currently does not support voting for your horribly broken game.
I'm not a hardcore nullsec player; heck I'm not even a hardcore eve player. I fork up my subscription fee or Plex each month, play the game when I have time, and (used to) have a good bit of fun. But even I can see that Eve is not what it used to be, whether you're in 0.0 or not. The lag monster is reaching as far as hisec at times, and don't even get me started on my few trips down to null. I sat around in a system with 3 people at one point and waited several minutes for my modules to cycle. I'd hate to imagine how it is for people actually participating in the huge battles.
And the lag isn't even the entire problem. The last two expansions might as well have been vaporware for all the effect they had on the game. Dominion introduced a broken sov system that did nothing for anyone outside of 0.0 except feed the lag monster radioactive juice, and Tyrannis is just crap. You seriously call a ****ed up clickfest an expansion? Really?! Lag continues unabated and many of the basic fixes asked for by players remain unaddressed, and you have the audacity to tell us that you'll get to it in 18 months, so you can work on some more vaporware? **** that.
Don't get me wrong, I love Eve, I really do. I have not seen another game that lets the player do everything they can do in Eve. The amount of freedom is unparalleled. I've been with the game for two years now, and they have been good for the most part. But the last two pathetic excuses for expansions, coupled with the treatment of the player base in the wake of CSM5, tell me that Eve is not the game it used to be, and it likely will not be for the next year or two.
I'll be plopping down one more Plex for the next month. That's all the time I'm giving to see whether or not CCP actually cares about their game. If nothing happens, well, I'll just let my account expire and leave it at that. Won't be happy about it, but hey, I'm not going to keep investing my time in the game when management clearly doesn't want to meaningfully invest their time in it, either.
